Stephanie has been retained as ‘Consultant on Japanese Business’ exclusively to one firm of lawyers and one firm of accountants for many years, and in addition shares her in-depth and up-to-date understanding of Japanese business through her consultancy with a wide variety of UK businesses.

Japanese company employees
Who else within Japanese-owned companies should attend briefings? On surveys following briefings, the answer to this question is overwhelmingly, EVERYONE, often with the additional comment, the Japanese should have their own version too. (This can also be provided.)

Business partners
Joint ventures and other similar close business links with the Japanese are particularly difficult, due in large part to the two sides having different business drivers and ethics. These fundamentals are rarely discussed, and the failure rate of such ventures is very high. With understanding and careful prior planning most differences can be worked around.
